MAC Peach Blossom Lipstick

I know I have been gone for a few days but somehow life just kinda side swiped me and before I knew it so many days had flown past! Luckily I am back with a very Spring influenced purchase.

Another MAC lipstick! Yes, in the short time that I have been buying MAC lipsticks (November onwards) I have managed to boost my collection up to a whopping eight (that is obviously not a huge collection).

I picked up Peach Blossom (Cremesheen) back in December whilst I was looking for a nice nude pink and at first the name had me a bit sceptical as I thought I would be expecting more of a peachy colour. MAC describes it as a 'frosted cool nude'. Obviously I did not wear it much throughout December as I was wearing darker lipsticks but seeing as the sun is slowly making an appearance I thought this would be a good time to start bringing these kinds of shades out.

I find this particular shade is one of the most perfect pinky nudes I have in my collection at the moment and it is so weird because a few months ago I really didn't wear pink lipsticks and didn't feel the need to wear them but then something just clicked y'know? Next thing you know I have added 6-7 to my lipstick drawer.

Peach Blossom is definitely a cool nude and one of the many shades of MAC that are under raved about when it is GORGEOUS! I think this would suit many skin tones, many hair colours etc.

Here are le naked lips, I had not exfoliated or put any lip balm on to see if the lipstick would settle in to any of the lines as my lips were quite dry.

It did not settle into any of the lines at all and did not stick to any parts of my lips that were dry. This is one of my most moisturising lipsticks in terms of long term wear other than my lip balm. The application was so easy as it is such a neutral colour and so I find very fool proof, so fool proof in fact you do not need a mirror.

I think it really smooths the lines over throughout the entire lip surface and gives the appearance of fuller and a more 'kissable' lips. It just looks flawless and the fact that I had not exfoliated or moisturised before is what really impresses me as it was just as moisturising as a lip balm which is great because I don't like the dryness that comes after wearing certain lipsticks for 30 minutes or so.

The colour itself has a slight shimmer to it that I must have missed when I first tried the lipstick on in store but I think that adds to the fuller lip and smoother appearance.  It isn't too overpowering and believe me I am not usually one for the shimmery finishes but this really is something else.

I hereby declare this as the first item on my Spring lipsticks! Spring feels like it has come early when I wear this and it really seems to brighten up my whole complexion.

What do you think of this colour? What are your favourite lipsticks that you will be bringing out for the Spring?
