Paul & Joe Amaryllis Colour Powder

Are you looking for a new Spring blush to add to your collection?

Part of the Paul & Joe My Secret Garden Spring 2014 Collection this blush has the most stunning packaging of probably all of the blushers that I own but in a completely different way to an Hourglass Blush. This packaging is fun, delicate and very feminine looking and I love it. This is only to be expected from Paul & Joe Beaute as their packaging is always phenomenal and always cute and fresh!

They released three blushers earlier this year and I decided to pick up Amaryllis which a very wearable red. The other two blushers; Azalea (bright pink with blue flower design) and Dahlia (a wearable peachy/coral shade with a yellow/orange flower design) were both beautiful but I decided to go for one that I would wear often throughout Spring and Summer.

The blush is encased in a cardboard constructed box and each blush has their own designed package which is a really nice touch! I was thrilled that the colour I wanted came in the packaging I liked most and what I love is you can buy the lipstick packaging to match the blush you chose and then obviously decided on a shade of lipstick which is really awesome. I just cannot get over how beautiful it is!

This seems to pull more towards an orangey colour on my camera but it really is the most beautiful wearable red with a white/cream flower design on the top. This is a great colour for Spring and Summer as it isn't shimmery but leaves a nice healthy glow - I know many blushers are described to give a healthy glow but lately all of the ones I am buying give me that look which is great because my skin definitely needs it!

The only thing I am rather sad about comes when using the blush and the imprint (flower design) rubs off, it wears down so easily and I am not sure why they didn't incorporate the print all the way through but other than that little niggle I absolutely love it!

Hopefully you can see from the swatch how lovely the colour is! Another thing I like is the way the blush skims over my cheeks and doesn't enhance any kind of blemishes or imperfections on my cheeks which I am sure we can all appreciate (I hate products that make things look worse).

It is easy to apply and easy to blend and lasts about 7-8 hours on my cheeks! It is very silky to apply and can be applied quite sheer or if you want a more intense look can be built up for even more colour!

The Paul & Joe colour powders retail for £20 and can be found on Asos :)

What do you think of this blush? Do you own anything from Paul & Joe?
