bareMinerals Eyeshadow: The Perfect Storm

I have been using the READY 2.0 eyeshadow palette everyday since I bought it and I am reading to admit that I am having a full on love affair with this product!

This is the third post leading on from the bareMinerals Seductive Eye kit (click here to read that post) that I purchased last week and I am so impressed by the quality of the products within the kit. I love the liner (reviewed here) and I haven't been able to put this down. I find myself reaching for it everyday whether it be to use the two colours to create a look or to mix it up with some of my other eyeshadows, I just really cannot get over how wonderful it is.

The bareMinerals Eyeshadow is said to 'provide exceptionally vivid, long-wearing colour in an ultra smooth, silky texture for effortless application and seamless blendability'. As soon as I read that description I was hooked and thought damn, I need this (which I do and some more) but it is a big statement to live up to.

bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 is made with their patented and exclusive SeaNutrive Mineral Complex combined with rich antioxidants such as cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine and cucumber which are used to fight the visible signs of aging as well as reducing the look of puffy and tired eyes whilst boosting the moisture levels in the skin for a more revitalised look. bareMinerals use no parabens, no fillers and no harsh chemicals which is great to know when using a product on such a delicate and sensitive part of your face.

The two colours the eyeshadow palette comes with are Cumulus and Temper.
Cumulus is a really nice matte white which I find extremely hard to find as many white eyeshadows always have shimmer in them and Temper is a beautiful cool toned matte grey brown making it versatile and easy to wear on any skin tone.

The pigmentation within these products is incredible and I barely had to touch the palette to get this amount of colour pay off which is what made me fall in love with it. I couldn't believe how pigmented the white is as they are usually the ones that lack colour pay off in palettes and I have been on the hunt for one for the longest time.

You will have to excuse how cracked the shadows looked, my hand are extremely dry presently but I can promise that this is the second white eyeshadow I have used that DOES NOT come of chalky on the eyelid. They both apply beautifully and somehow have so much dimension in them for matte eyeshadows.
They are very easy to blend and the range of colours for the duo palettes is wonderful - the only thing I will say is that these retail for £20 meanwhile their READY Quads retail for £29 so I would definitely recommend paying the extra £9 and getting another two shadows as there really is a beautiful range of colours and they are ALL pigmented! I was extremely surprised at how beautiful pigmented they were and how wearable even the brightest colours they have are.

These pictures really don't do the formula any justice but hopefully you can see how lovely and natural it looks. This was done with a very light hand and you can definitely build it up for a more dramatic look!

I have definitely added a few more colours to my list and think that the kit I purchased is a really great way to experiment with their products without the £50 price tag although they are 100% worth it.

I can't wait to start adding to my collection with these eyeshadows and think they really are a winner for the quality and ingredients!

What do you think? Do you use anything from bareMinerals?

  1. I really like some of their loose pigments, especially the more sparkly ones. I like how easy it is to achieve a everyday wear look with this palette. The shadows do look like they can be easily blended. Wonderful review xoxo <3

    1. Their pigments are incredible! I have really enjoyed learning more about the company whilst talking to them and swatching hehe. They really are like butter :) Thank you so much for reading xxx
