Wake Up To Beautiful Skin

The Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil is was definitely a well raved about product a few months ago and at the time of its release I was looking for a good face oil that wasn't going to break my bank so I decided to invest in it as The Body Shop is definitely a brand I have huge love for and trust.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil (£12) has some very attractive and tempting claims to it like most oils/serums on the current beauty market but I was more excited to test a product that was a hybrid of both (a serum and an oil mixed together) to see if having both would benefit my skin more than just one or the other.

I don't think I have ever used a serum in my skincare routine before but I am partial to a good face oil and having a product that is doing both jobs in one step without the huge price tag or two different products seemed like a good place to start for me.

The Body Shop claims;

1) 8 hours of beauty sleep for your skin
2) Skin feels recharged, replenished and softer
3) Skin looks fresher, rested and more radiant
4) Non-greasy, fast absorbing formula
5) Their highest concentration of Wheatgerm Oil

Packaging wise I love it, it feels very sturdy and I like the fact it is not in a clear jar but in one that can at least offer it some degree of protection. I haven't found packaging from The Body Shop that I don't like but the light pink, beige and navy colours of this specific product is really relaxing to me somehow.

So what do I actually think of the product?

If my skin is anything to go by the last few weeks, I absolutely adore it! I apply this every evening (sometimes morning depending on my plans) after my cleansing and toning and depending on how my skin is feeling I will either use this alone and massage a few drops into my face OR I will add a few drops to my Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream (review coming soon).

It is not only incredibly refreshing and lightweight but I also find it does an amazing job at keeping my dry patches at bay and keeping my skin smooth. I always lack 'beauty sleep' or just sleep in general and I can really see how rested my face looks in the morning, no other products I own has given me this type of effect so quickly. I can definitely say that this is the least greasy oil I have used and it leaves no trace of grease on my face which some oils can do which also means no greasy pillows! It absorbs really fast even when used with a moisturiser and my skin definitely does look brighter, plumper and calmer.

This product is scented so if you are sensitive to smells then I would recommend giving it a quick sniff in store although when I say it is scented, I am not talking about a heady over bearing scent and to me it is a very light, refreshing and calming scent and I find that I sleep better when using this as it feels almost therapeutic to smell.

If you are just starting out with a skincare routine or you are in a bit of a rut and don't know which product to try out/choose next and this one sounds right for you then I would definitely recommend it especially when it is £12 for 28 ml

Have you tried this product? Any recommendations you love from The Body Shop?
