Aēsop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque

Aesop is a brand I have wanted to try for a while with their whole collection of products sounding absolutely outstanding. I decided to treat myself to this  face mask as I have yet to come across one bad review about it.

The Aesop Parsely Seed Cleansing Masque (£27) is an anti-oxidant clarifying mask that is designed for frequent use and produces a deep clean for the skin by removing impurities and then refreshing and perking up dull skin.

The mask itself SHOULD come sealed and has a reversible lid to help you puncture the tin layer. Firstly there is some sort of strange satisfaction that I get from piercing and breaking seals of new products and it allows me to feel confident within the fact that nothing has been tampered with. I am also glad it comes in a metal tube so that when I am finished with it I can just cut it open and use the rest to save wastage (the metal tube hasn't split on me yet like some have).

The masque itself is a very earthy colour and benefits from a few main ingredients being Kaolin Clay, Parsley Seed, Aloe Vera, Rosehip Seed and Evening Primrose.  I was very surprised with how light it feels as I am used to very thick clay masks and this is almost water light in consistency but I do find I use a lot less than what I would with thicker clay masks. All you need is a thin layer all over the face and to let it dry for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water. The mask dries to a muted taupey/ivory colour and the bit that not only disgusts me but also fascinates me is seeing all the problem areas and pores once dried.

I do find that with my very dry skin this masks leaves it a little tight feeling afterwards but this can be fixed by using whatever moisturiser you'd like so I really do not mind in fact I actually quite enjoy the feeling as my skin feels so soft and clean afterwards.

Ever since buying this which took a bit of justification due to the price tag, I have not looked back. I regret not buying this sooner as the mask has literally worked miracles on my skin once using it and has dramatically decreased my pores after every use, I find that problem blemishes are visibly reduced and sometimes the smaller ones are gone by the morning and the ones that may be coming up are no more which is a wonderful thing to wake up to. My skin lacks radiance but this certainly gives a nice refreshed look and smooth surface to work with which I am obsessed with.

In short the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque is one if not THE best face masks I have used to date (oh, I went there) and that alone makes me want to repurchase a box full!

I would highly recommend this mask even if you have drier skin because the results for myself have been amazing! I have used the mask 6 - 7 times and I have at least half if not more left (a little goes a long way and I always cover my face and the underside of my neck very well) which is a bonus!

Have you tried this mask? Any Aesop recommendations?

  4. I have heard so much about this mask! Really want to try it :)
How much of it would you say is needed? I'm wondering how much use can I get out of the tube for the price.

    1. You really should, I think you'd love it! I have used it 6 - 7 times and I still have more than half left so I would say it is pretty good for the price! I will definitely be repurchasing it when I am done with mine :) I am hoping to get at least 16 uses out of it maybe more. I hope that helps! :) xx
