Birthday Face...

I have never done a 'What's on my face' type of post but seeing as yesterday I celebrated my 21st birthday and selected some of the finest pieces of my makeup collection to celebrate with me.

If you follow me on Instagram then you would have already seen the makeup I wore to my birthday dinner yesterday.

BASE
Recently my skin has been pretty good so I only used a mixture of two concealers as a base. I use the Essence Stay All Day Concealer in 10 Natural Beige on my cheeks, chin and forehead and blend all of that in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I then use my favourite concealer NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla down my T-zone and under my eyes as this provides a lot more coverage than the Essence one and give a more flawless look around the centre of my face which again I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff into the skin. I set this all with my MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus in NC15 as it provides a tiny bit more coverage and holds the concealer in place really well!

CHEEKS
I use the Clarins Colours of Brazil Bronzer to add some warmth to my face and then go in with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta for a natural/glowy colour to my cheeks. I find both of these colours compliment each other very well and gives a nice Summery makeup look.

EYES
One of the products I seem to be using underneath all my eyeshadows at the moment is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. It creates a really nice base with a bit of tack (before it dries) and really helps eyeshadow stay put and as I was going for a bronzey eye anyway the bronze colour worked well with it. The LORAC Pro Palette is something I have wanted ever since it came out and I was lucky enough to take part in an international swap recently were the lovely Frederica (post to come soon with all of the goodies) kindly picked one up for me. It arrived a week ago but I saved the palette to use on my special day and I am already IN LOVE, I used the shades Champagne, Pewter and Espresso from the palette. I then used the Urban Decay Eyeliner in Perversion to tightline and apply a very thin smudged out line of black liner to my lids as this stays put for ages without transferring or smudging. To finish off my eyes I used my favourite mascara which is the bareMinerals 10-in-1 Lash Domination Mascara

LIPS
I broke out one of my limited edition MAC lipsticks in the shade Red Balloon which is a beautiful, bright red/pink/fuchsia (swatches here) and was released in the Playland Collection.

That is everything that I had on my face last night! I had an amazing birthday dinner and my birthday itself was wonderful.

A big thank you to everyone who sent me lovely birthday wishes!
