The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

The Body Shop have recently launched a whole range of moisturising sorbets. They have five different scents for the body and bought out the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet* for the face. This product is a Summer MUST HAVE!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet* (£12) which I jumped at the chance to (who wouldn't) because the Vitamin E range is definitely one of my favourites and I haven't found a product yet from The Body Shop that I don't like!

The Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet* delivers deep hydration to the skin with each pot containing over 2 million Aqua Spheres which works by holding hundreds of times their weight in pure water by acting like tiny reservoirs allowing the sorbet to deliver 24 hour hydration to the skin. Not only does this sorbet contain new hydrating technology but they have also combined it with classics like Wheatgerm Oil,  Community Fair Trade Shea Butter and Soya Oil which provide an amazing drink for thirsty skin.

The formula contains mineral particles that help absorb oil and mattify the skin whilst being extremely light weight and refreshing to use. I don't have a problem with oil control but I find my makeup goes on so much smoother when I use this and because it is so light weight it sinks into skin almost immediately.

Light weight moisturisers never used to work for me as my skin was just too dry but I have noticed amazing improvements in my complexion and for the first time in Summer, have no dry patches making their way onto my face which I am completely grateful for.

This sorbet is perfect for Summer as it cools the skin down and really does leave the skin feeling smooth and velvety soft.

TIP: This can also be left in the fridge for an extra refreshing and cooling combination.

I was worried that the  moisturiser would feel grainy as you can see the particles in the formula but on application they disappear flawlessly into the skin and leave my skin feeling plump, more awake and looking less dull.

I love the fact that I will be able to use this al year around as opposed to swapping creams when it comes to different seasons as it is so moisturising I could imagine it working a charm in Winter too!

The only thing I would comment on about the new formula is the scent. If you are sensitive to the scent in certain products then I would give this a little smell before going ahead as it is quite scented - I did notice that this smells nothing like any of the other Vitamin E products I own which smell more muted and oaty (?) but I personally love the scent and think it really brings out the feel of Summer! Just a little heads up though.

I have also been featured in The Body Shop's Aqua Boost Sorbet review video on their YouTube channel which was really exciting for me. If you are interested in seeing that then click the play button below!

Overall this sorbet is a winner in my books and will definitely be my Summer staple! I cannot wait to see how this will perform in colder months but this has certainly been helping my skin through this humid heat we are having at the moment!

Next on my list is to try the Strawberry Body Sorbet and the Satsuma Body Sorbet as they both sound gorgeous!

Did you buy the Aqua Boost Sorbet? What did you think of it?
