The Body Shop All-In-One InstaBlur Eye

Another exciting launch from The Body Shop that I cannot wait to share with you comes in the form of a rather familiar tube and based on the ever so popular InstaBlur face perfector.

The All-in-One InstaBlur Eye Tinted Concealer and Primer (£10)* promises to solve  all of our eye contour concerns with ONE product. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this products as I have yet to try the highly raved about InstaBlur foundation primer.

The new InstaBlur for eyes claims to provide its users with five key benefits as well as being the FIRST eye primer on the market to do so which is a very big claim. The primer is said to instantly conceal under eye dark circles. Its multi action yellow tint neutralises blueness under the eyes as well as the red on our eyelids leaving them prepared for eyeshadow application. The formula is especially adapted for the sensitive skin around the eye and contains Community Fair Trade Marula Oil and Spherical Powder in order to provide an extra smooth eye surface and help keep eyeshadows vibrant and in place.

My final thoughts on the product is that the yellow pigment is very useful when trying to cover up the dark circles. The product itself smooths out my eye area perfectly and really helps even out the skin tone around that area and I have also found my eyeshadow lasts longer than if I wasn't using an eye primer. The formula is not sticky or tacky which I appreciate as some primers make my eyelids feel like they are sticking to my eye area. The claims to the concealing is a strong one even though it reduces dark circles well I still need concealer on top of it as this doesn't fully do the same as what my concealer does although with this underneath my concealer I find it stays put longer and is less prone to creasing and I need to use less of my concealer to minimise the dark circles. I think this would be absolutely fine for a quick fix when running to the shops but for days when you want a flawless base you may need a little more concealer. I do like the nozzle applicator but do not apply it straight to my skin. I take the product on a clean ring finger and pat it on my eye area.

For a primer I think it is wonderful and obviously does better in the concealing department than a primer that is translucent but if you do struggle with very dark circles I would say this may not be enough.

I love how smooth the formula is and how easy it is to use and blend. It doesn't look or feel cakey or powdery on the eyelid which is another aspect to the primer I love as I don't feel like I have another 'layer' on.

The Body Shop All-in-One InstaBlur Eye Concealer and Primer is available from the 17th September!

What do you think? Will you be picking one up?
