The Lorac Pro Palette

This palette really doesn't need an introduction and of course I am very late on the bandwagon as Lorac hasn't graced the UK shores with it's beautiful makeup products but it is finally mine!

If you read my post on my international beauty swap with the lovely Freddi (here) then you would have seen that she hunted down this palette for me and shipped it over. I couldn't be more thankful as this is honestly the most gorgeous palette I own to date.

Can we take a moment?

I had this for a week before I used it and decided to save it for my 21st Birthday - you can see my birthday face makeup (here).

The palette contains 16 shades 8 of which are matte (top row) and 8 of which shimmer (the bottom row).

Swatches of the first 8 shadows (top row matte and bottom row shimmer)

Considering 6 of the first 8 shades are all lighter the pigmentation does not suffer like some palettes. They are very pigmented and show up nicely even on my fair skin which is something very rare to find as lighter shades usually disappear on me.

Swatches of the last 8 shadows (top row matte and bottom row shimmer)

The last 8 shades are obviously the most pigmented out of the palette seeing as they are darker and all of them are absolutely stunning and have gorgeous colour pay off.

Of course if you are good with detail then you may have noticed that my 'Deep Purple' isn't so purple. As far as I can see from online swatches it is supposed to be an eggplant/aubergine deep plumy purple but it seems that my palette has 2 of the shade 'Slate' which has already been passed onto the retailer but as the palette is now in the UK they cannot do much to rectify it. I am not complaining though as Slate is one of my favourite out of the palette so the fact I have 2 of them is ideal!

Everything about this palette is perfection from the packaging to the colour and lasting time of all the shadows, I am just so impressed. I can't find a fault in the palette and the fact that ALL 16 of the colours show up on my fair skin is a huge thumbs up from me and I can't thank Freddi enough for hunting this beauty down for me as it is definitely becoming my most treasured palette.

If I had to pick out a few of my favourites on the spot I think I would go for Pewter, Espresso, Mauve, Lt. Bronze, Nude and Slate (and all of the other colours).

Are you the proud owner of a Lorac Pro Palette? What do you think?
