theBalm FratBoy

There are some products you just cannot go wrong with throughout the year no matter what the season is and although I am late on this bandwagon, I am sure glad I finally joined it!

theBalm is a company that I hear many people talking about and never really thought of delving into it myself kind of like how I don't own anything from Bobbi Brown, Illamasqua, Kevin Aucoin - you name it. theBalm sits in the same category for me - products you hear about, add to your ever expanding list of things you'd like and then never end up buying.

I've wanted theBalm FratBoy shadow/blush (£14.50) for the longest time so when it finally popped up on sale on Feel Unique I hastily shoved it in my basket and went on my way. I am really glad I did as I find some products only seem to trend during certain seasons and then drop off the grid during the rest of the year, FratBoy is not one of them.

A multi-purpose product that can be used as an eyeshadow as well as a blush with a silky soft texture and beautiful colour pay off. FratBoy is a peachy apricot colour that is not too warmed toned nor too cool toned making it perfect for fair to dark skin tones and everything inbetween.

When used as a blush, FratBoy really helps give the cheeks a gorgeous healthy flush without being too overbearing and still being able to wear it with different lip colours whereas you could really tie the look in with using FratBoy over the lid with a brown in the crease. The next bonus with this product is that a little goes a long way! theBalm made sure to pack this baby with beautiful pigment and even with how pigmented the product is it is still exceptionally easy to apply and blend out. I like how even though it looks quite matte it offer the skin a nice multi dimensional look without leaving the face looking flat.

I really love this product as much as I love my Mary Lou-Manizer and will definitely invest in some more products from theBalm. I love that this product is not a one season 'man' and can be used all year round too!

What do you think? Have you tried FratBoy?
