The Vegan Kind: June Box (#TVK20)

It has been a very long time since The Vegan Kind boxes have made their scrummy appearance on my page but we can all relax as they are back!

When I saw TVK20 popping up everywhere I couldn't wait for mine to arrive as this box has my snacking needs written all over it. If you know me, in real life or not, I have a HUGE sweet tooth and I am trying so hard to not only snack on healthier alternatives but even limit the amount of chocolate I have and swap it for a dairy alternative. The only product in this box which I cannot sink my teeth into is the soap but it sure smells good enough to had I been so inclined, I am sure my shower will appreciate this new addition.

Sweet Freedom Choc Shot Coconut (320g - £3.50)
I am a  huge fan of the original Sweet Freedom Choc Shot and couldn't wait to hunt down its coconut sibling although my town had nothing to offer so when I saw this in the box I may have let out a small squeal of excitement. Not only is this product great for many uses but you would never know that it is reasonably healthy for you and a much better alternative to processed, refined chocolate. This tastes fantastic on top of my morning oats, drizzled onto fruit, milkshakes, hot chocolates and baked into goodies! A definite must try if you have a sweet tooth.

Roots Hand Cooked Vegetable Crisps (50g - £0.99p)
Veggie crisps are my favourite and these were absolutely delicious. Great to pop into a bag on the go, shared with friends (or in my case not), put in a sandwich or dipped in hummus or any other nice dip for that matter. This has nothing nasty in it either which I love and includes carrot, parsnip and beetroot.

Elements for Life Yummy Scrummy Brownie (60g - £2.50)
A pure brownie full of goodness! Brownies are my absolute weakness and I always feel like I cannot indulge as I cannot bear to stand the amount of added stuff or sugar in the ingredients. This brownie however is packed with fruits, nuts and raw cacao - a perfect healthy treat with some guilt free pleasure. Big thumbs up from me!

Pip and Nut Almond Butter Nut Butter (30g - £1.19)
Firstly, how cute is this little snack pack? Pip and Nut are a brand that I have wanted to try for the last few months ever since seeing their coconut almond butter on Twitter so to get the chance to try their original has been a real treat. I have become a bit of a nut butter addict and could possibly eat it for every meal. My favourite accompaniments for nut butters are corn cakes, cinnamon and raisin bagels, chia bread, oats and apple!

Friendly Soap (95g - £1.99)
On to this delicious smelling soap. Handmade, natural and scented with essential oils no SLS, Parabens or Palm Oil, what more could you want to rub all over your body? This months box had a variety of four different scents Peppermint & Poppyseed, Orange & Grapefruit, Tea Tree and Lemongrass & Hemp. I love Lemongrass and find it so refreshing, the hemp gives it a subtle earthy smell and it is just all over lovely.

Also included in this months box was a recipe from The Vegan Cookie Fairy for a Coconut Chocolate Stracciatella Shake which I cannot wait to try as well as a booklet providing all the relevant news for this years local vegan festivals! I am hoping I can make it to Vegfestuk London in October to have my first vegan festival experience.

This months featured campaign goes to the Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage who are a non-profit organisation who provide care and treatment for sick, unwanted, stray or mistreated rabbits. They also educate the public about the ownership of having bunnies, discourage cruelty to rabbits and prevent unnecessary euthanasia of rabbits. 10p of every box sold in June went to this lovely organisation but if you'd like to donate some more you can by following their donate link on their website.
