The Body Shop Summer Goodies

Some new offerings from The Body Shop that I have been meaning to talk about for a while now. These were part of their Summer releases which are usually my favourite releases of the year when it comes to TBS.

After a few weeks of testing both products out I finally feel I can contribute to some feedback, especially on the Glow Boosting Moisturiser as I always like to test skincare products out for at least a month to see how they react and what differences they make to my routine.

The Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet (£8)* is incredibly fresh and energising. It melts onto the skin and has that gorgeous uplifting mint and lime smell. This body sorbet offers 24 hours of hydration whilst staying unbelievably lightweight! One of the main things I LOVE about The Body Shop sorbets is how fast they absorb into the skin without feeling clingy, sticky or just greasy. I hate waiting for creams to absorb before putting my clothes on so this makes the perfect Summer companion especially for anyone who loves a quick, great smelling and easy to use on the go product! I would highly recommend checking out the range of sorbets and if like me you are a fan of the energising citrusy scents then go give this one a quick smell, you wont regret it.

My absolute favourite out of the two products I received is the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser (£16)* which is a beautiful lightweight gel moisturiser that boosts skins radiance, energises signs of skin fatigue and hydrates the skin. Even though I have drier skin I love using gel moisturisers throughout Summer as they are the perfect base for use under makeup and allow me to use my serums and facial oils without making my skin feel full of product at night time. My skin has definitely been more radiant since using this moisturiser which is saying a lot seeing as my skin is going through a horrendous time lately but this leaves my skin feeling very fresh and healthy after application. This is very similar to my much loved Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser (£24). Something you should definitely pop into your basket if your skin needs a little boost!

What are your thoughts? Have you tried these products?

  1. The Vitamin C boosting moisturiser sounds so lovely! I really love anything vitamin C related, I'll have to check it out! I actually have the strawberry body sorbet but haven't used it yet because I'm waiting for Summer hehe :)
