bareMinerals Pop of Passion

Whilst we seep into Autumn I thought I would swiftly throw us back to one of my favourite launches that happened over this Spring/Summer. Luckily products you can still get your sticky mitts on no matter what the season.

bareMinerals launched an exciting array of new lip oil-balms this Spring/Summer in a range of exciting shades all the way through from nudes to brighter and more statement colours. The new Pop of Passion lip oil-balms (£16) are part of the bareMinerals permanent family whereas the Blush Balms (£20) are one time only limited edition products so definitely grab one or all three while you can!

The three shades I have added to my collection are Peach Passion, Pink Passion and Plumberry Pop. The 'Passion' shades are your more natural sheer tint of colour whilst your 'Pop' shades are the more bright and vivid. There are four passion shades; Nude Passion, Peach Passion, Pink Passion and Rose Passion and four pop shades; Punch Pop, Tangerine Pop, Candy Pop and Plumberry Pop.

The blush balms come in Natural Passion, Posy Passion and Papaya Passion, all three of which look really beautiful and light on the cheeks but give the complexion that little lift we all look for.

(From top to bottom: Peach Passion, Pink Passion, Plumberry Pop and Papaya Passion Blush Balm)

Peach Passion is that really easy to use on the go lip product that you can stick in your bag and use when you fancy a little bit of colour. It gives off the slightest peach tone and pairs beautifully with any makeup look and is fantastic as that easy everyday colour whilst Pink Passion gives your lips some added definition and an easy to wear pink glow, perfect for when you want to bring that added extra to your look. Plumberry Pop on the other hand had me all sorts of heart eyed emoji as I am a fiend for anything berry/plum, as you can imagine it is your typical plum shade but I have noticed this look different on everyones lips and of course although launched in Spring/Summer, is a definite must have for the upcoming Autumn/Winter season. What I love most about the lip-oil balms is not only do they feel very nourishing and moisturising whilst still being lightweight on the lips, they leave behind a stain once the oil sinks in meaning they last really well throughout the day more so with the pop shades but still noticeable with the lighter ones.

I have played with all of the blush balms and decided to go for Papaya Passion as I don't already have a colour like this in my blush collection powder or cream. It gives a delicate flush of peachy/coral colour and can be built up for a more intense look whether you are wearing them for daytime or evening. These balms are extremely easy to use whilst still remaining lightweight and great at blending which I find cream blushers can sometimes be harder to work with - these apply flawlessly and give your cheeks that plumped up, dewy healthy glow! It's all about the lit from within glow, am I right?

Enriched with passion fruit seed oil and Vitamin E, the bareMinerals lip oil and blush balms hydrate and moisturise your cheeks and lips leaving you feeling nourished, healthy and full of colour. A definite win win in my books and products I urge you to try next time you are close to your local counter!

What are your thoughts? Have you tried any of these?

  1. I'm so tempted by the lip balms! I've had a swatch of them and the texture feels so oily and moisturising and delicious haha. I'm glad they're permanent :) The blushes look gorgeous as well but I already have way too many cream blushes!
