Christmas with Liz Earle

During Christmas I always find myself picking up the odd skincare gift set as they really are great way to try new products or even repurchase products you already know you love but just fancy getting a bit more from with some bonus extras.

Long story short, I finished my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser around 5 months ago and moved onto the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (£38) that I had been longing to use in order to see what the fuss was about. I will go into more details when I write my review of the Emma Hardie cleanser but for now, whilst it was a lovely cleanser the Liz Earle has certainly made its way to the top of my list.

I had finished my Emma Hardie cleanser and decided that I could not live without the Liz Earle one any longer. Drove to Milton Keynes so I could visit the Liz Earle counter and get my fix and voila, here I stand in front of all of these beautiful Christmas gift sets. As soon as I spotted the Liz Earle Beauty Favourites Collection I knew it was coming home with me and for only £22 I may have possibly put two in my basket.

The Liz Earle Beauty Favourites Collection not only contains a full size 100ml Cleanse & Polish (£15.50) but also includes a 50ml Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion (approx £5) as well as a 50ml of the Gentle Face Exfoliator (£11.25). The kit also has 2 muslin cloths included which retail for £4.50 normally and seeing as we are already at a total value of £36.25 I would say that this kit is not one to be missed.

The Cleanse & Polish is packed with beautiful naturally active ingredients and is a fantastic two-phased action cleanser whilst phase one cleans, nourishes and removes all makeup; phase two allows you to gently polish off dead skin cells and excess product whilst leaving the skin feeling cleaner and also a lot smoother with the small addition of using the muslin cloth which I find really does make all the difference as opposed to a general face cloth, it gives a gentle exfoliation so that I am not over exfoliating my already sensitive and hormonal skin. On days when my eyes have been feeling puffy, irritated and tired the Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion really has helped reduce the lagging feeling whilst still being gentle enough to use around my dry eye area and being contact lense friendly is a big bonus for me. In terms of facial exfoliation I am really glad I have been able to try the Gentle Face Exfoliator as it isn't too heavy or grainy for my skin and even when I have breakouts this exfoliator doesn't leave my skin feeling raw, instead it leaves it feeling silky, smooth and almost like I have had a mini facial. It is very gentle and again ensures that you can't be too rough and over exfoliate your skin which I have been (in the past) stupid enough to do.

If you have been eyeing up Liz Earle and have been interested in some new skincare products to try then I would definitely recommend checking out the Liz Earle website and Boots (the Beauty Favourites Collection was a Boots exclusive) for the huge array of Christmas gift sets they currently have for great value.

Have you tried anything from Liz Earle? Will you be adding this to your wish list?
